Waldorf Astoria is seeking a Cook II to join our team in Chicago's Gold Coast!

Recognized as one of the Best Hotels in the World and in Chicago, with the Top Hotel Spa in the U.S., the AAA-Five-Diamond, Forbes 4-Star Waldorf Astoria Chicago is located in the prestigious Gold Coast neighborhood, near Oak Street retailers, beaches, Rush Street restaurants and nightlife, and The Magnificent Mile. This luxury hotel features 215 rooms, over 5,000 sq ft of meeting space, and 4 food and beverage outlets including a restaurant, 2 bars, and in-room dining.

Shift: Various – must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: $27.45, based on experience and location.

Union Position: This role is part of the Local 1 Union, requiring full open availability. Schedule restrictions cannot be accommodated. Hours vary based on seniority and business needs.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for hot side breakfast cooking, including eggs and protein preparation, with open availability for 2-3 shifts per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare hot and cold food items per recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and food sanitation standards
  • Manage guest orders efficiently and courteously
  • Know menu and food products well
  • Stock and maintain food stations
  • Inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures

  • Demonstrate hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and urgency
  • Exhibit qualities of quality, productivity, and customer focus
