The Role
The Cook II is responsible for all aspects of food preparation and cooking using various kitchen utensils.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and cook items according to company standards, including seasoning, garnishing, and presentation. Follow time and sequence to meet service hours.
  2. Perform basic cooking operations such as frying, broiling, steaming, sautéing, oven work, and prep work. Plate food for large functions. Use kitchen tools effectively.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of your work area.
  4. Assist other kitchen staff as needed.
  5. Store food items and supplies properly.
  6. Complete prep work for the next shift.
  7. Transport food and supplies as needed.
  8. Keep coolers and storage areas organized and clean.
  9. Guide peers to complete tasks.
  10. Maintain regular attendance.
  11. Follow Bally’s Values and Purpose at all times.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Provide guidance to peer employees to oversee task completion.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.
  • Knowledge of company policies, health, fire, and safety regulations.
  • Three to six months of related experience or training.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain regional health cards/licenses.
  • Effective communication in English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Reasoning skills including attention to detail and working under distractions.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, lift 25 lbs, and perform other physical tasks.
  • Work environment includes noise, heat, cold, hazards, and odors.
