Brief Description

The Cook 2 will prepare and produce food items in one or several restaurants, following a menu and/or creating recipes with a focus on health and nutrition. The role offers creativity, development, and growth for those eager to excel.

You are an experienced line cook who thrives in a busy service environment. This position is part of a new restaurant concept featuring seasonal chef‑driven menus. You will work hands‑on with the Executive Chef and sous chefs to create dishes from scratch and help develop specials and new menu items.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is \$17.03 to \$21.58. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce food items from the established menu or recipe in a timely manner.
  • Sanitize equipment and work area, maintaining sanitation standards at all times.
  • Gather materials and equipment needed for specific meal service.
  • Receive and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
  • Complete special cleaning as assigned.
  • Attend training and in‑services to meet state regulations and professional standards and expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds on your own, 36+ pounds with manual or mechanical assistance.
  • Must transport food without assistance or with manual or mechanical assistance.
  • Must be able to stand 4 to 6 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in and withstand extreme temperature fluctuations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
  • General knowledge of kitchen functions and menu preparation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers.

  • Cook to order and batch cooking experience.
  • Butchery experience.
Required Education and Experience
  • At least two years of professional cooking experience.
