Cook I - FT Closing Shift - Salty's at the Sea - Seattle Airport

Concessions International | Seattle, WA 98113

Support the operation to deliver superior guest service by performing duties such as cooking and plating food in accordance with production requirements and quality standards. Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cook, plate, and follow portion standards for food products according to production requirements.
  • Organize and plan activities by reviewing daily pull and prep lists.
  • Cook and store food at required temperatures; label, date, and rotate all products per company standards.
  • Test foods for proper cooking using tasting, smelling, measuring devices, or other utensils.
  • Monitor and maintain proper cooking temperatures for equipment like grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, and roasters.
  • Keep food prep areas and equipment clean and sanitized after use or as needed.
  • Follow safe food handling and hygiene practices.
  • Adhere to safety standards when operating equipment and report malfunctions immediately.
  • Perform opening and/or closing side work as per checklists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; six months or more related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

Required Skills

Basic food prep and cooking skills; ability to identify and use various utensils and equipment properly.

Language Skills

Ability to read and understand instructions, communicate effectively in English both written and verbal.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands

Stand for 6-8 hours, manipulate objects, reach, bend, stir, wipe, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent hand immersion in water and cleaning agents. Ability to work in various temperatures and loud environments.
