Hyatt Regency Austin – Nestled on the shores of Lady Bird Lake, in downtown Austin, we are seeking a dedicated Cook 1 to join our Culinary Team. This production role requires basic culinary skills or related cooking experience and good communication.

Food Handler certification is required. You will support our Ripple & Roots lunch/dinner outlets and our employee cafeteria; open availability including weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Requires fair communication skills.
• Previous cook or preparation experience preferred, but not required.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Availability on afternoons and evenings on weekdays, weekends, holidays required.
• Valid Food Handler certification required.
• Ability to read English is required.

Responsibilities

• Support lunch and dinner outlets Ripple & Roots and the employee cafeteria.
• Work in a production kitchen environment with supervision and training.
