Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a passionate Cook to join our culinary team. You will assist the Chef in producing high quality dishes for various outlets, while learning and growing under culinary leadership in a world-class resort setting.

The role requires active food handling certification, ability to work a flexible schedule including day/night shifts and weekends, and a strong focus on organization and efficiency in a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to obtain it.
• Willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Desire to exceed expectations.
• Energetic personality.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food for kitchen, cafeteria, banquet, dining room and fine dining.
• Maintain a passive leadership role to ensure adequate production levels.
• Develop knowledge of cooking procedures: grill, sauté and fry.
• Handle knives and kitchen equipment safely.
• Prepare ingredients and ensure consistent food quality.
• Minimize food waste through cross-utilization.
• Work with a world-class culinary team.
• Create workstations with required ingredients and equipment.
• Sanitize and keep the kitchen orderly and safe.

This individual must be creative, motivated, and passionate about growing their talents in the kitchen!Successful candidates for this role will have previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment, with a strong desire to learn, to develop skills and work with the culinary leadership team to create menus which reflect seasonal availability and concept of the restaurant.The Cook assists the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for kitchen preparation, cafeteria, banquet cooking, dining room, and fine dining.
