The University of Iowa Health Care, Food and Nutrition Services, seeks a Cook I for the North Liberty Medical Campus. You will perform general cooking duties using standardized recipes, assist with food preparation, and maintain sanitation standards under supervision.

Responsibilities include cooking and serving meals per procedures, ensuring quality checks prior to service, and keeping the kitchen area clean and sanitized.

Job description

The University of Iowa Health Care department of Food and Nutrition Services is seeking a Cook I at our North Liberty Medical Campus. This position will perform a variety of tasks under direct supervision, perform general cooking duties using standardized recipes and perform other preparation and sanitation duties as required.

• Performs general cooking, food preparation, and serving meals using standardized recipes and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes cooking areaaccording to standard sanitation procedures
• Checks food against predetermined quality prior to service

Percent of Time: 50%

Location: North Liberty Medical Campus
