Job summary

SodexoMagic is hiring a Cook I for the San Luis Obispo area. You will prepare nutritious dishes with a focus on customer service and food quality, working as part of a team to ensure smooth service across meals and events.

The role requires flexibility in shifts with open availability and a willingness to learn and contribute to a safe kitchen environment. Competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and able to contribute to a safe working environment.
• 0–2 years of related foodservice experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold items for multiple meal periods.
• Read and follow basic recipes and product directions.
• May prepare food and serve customers at a la carte or operate a grill station.
• Attend shifts on time with regularity.
• Other duties as required by account or client needs.

Pay Range: $26.00 per hour - $26.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Cook I at SodexoMagic, you are also a team player and food waste reducer. You’ll prepare and create nutritious dishes while putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. Your passion for food and warm smile will make a positive impact and brighten the day of those you serve.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, may include Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Special/Catered Events.
• Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
• May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
