The Cook I is a skilled team member, providing expertise in the restaurant, kitchen, and catering operations, allowing you a great platform to express your customer service aptitude and culinary skills creatively at Hidden Waters Restaurant.

It also offers an opportunity to learn different cooking techniques due to our many outlets. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, as well as banquets and catered events on property.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

  • Assist in planning, training, and supervising kitchen personnel.
  • Assist in planning, implementation, and food product consistency.
  • Provides assistance in menu development and special event menus.
  • Inventory, purchasing, and budget reporting help Enforces departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Assist in preparation of food for the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and neat kitchen.

*This position is eligible for an approved Sign-on bonus of $800 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(6).

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: NONE

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational training in food service will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
