Assets, Inc. is hiring full-time cooks in Anchorage to prepare daily food items according to AFMIS recipes and to maintain a clean, safe station under pressure.
You will follow the Performance Work Statement, use and care for all equipment, complete ServSafe training, and participate in meetings and trainings while building positive relationships with customers and coworkers. Education and/or Experience: Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures. Previous prep or line cook experience.
Language Skills: Must speak and understand English. Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions. Employees will be required to effectively communicate with the customers in English. This requirement is strictly for the purpose of efficiently performing the contract tasks.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to think, react calmly, and respond to emergency situations. Must be able to perform under stressful situations and respond to work problems.
