Job description

Have a High School diploma or equivalent

Have experience in a volume production kitchen environment (preferred)

Be flexible in your work schedule and willing to participate in professional development sessions

Be willing to serve on teams

Have the ability to relate to and teach students from diverse backgrounds

Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role

Take direction from the Head Cook in the assigned kitchen

Prepare food for the school following standard operating procedures developed by the Food and Nutrition Department to ensure safety and nutrition for students and staff

Adhere to cashier standards of operation, reporting, and maintenance

Follow systems to maintain compliance with all regulatory agency requirements

Operate all equipment according to safety and efficiency standard operating procedures

Serve as a contact at the assigned school for issues that may arise, and report all issues to the Head Cook promptly

Assist in preparing a monthly inventory under the supervision of the Head Cook

Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork as required

Ensure the safe and accurate receiving, storage, rotation, and disposition of all food and supplies

Work as a cashier regularly or as needed
