  • Have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Have experience in a volume production kitchen environment (preferred)
  • Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessions
  • Be willing to serve on teams
  • Have the ability to relate to and teach students with diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role
  • Takes direction from the Head Cook in the assigned kitchen
  • Prepares food for the school utilizing standard operating procedures that have been developed by the Food and Nutrition Department to safely and nutritiously feed the students and staff of the Springfield City School District
  • Adheres to the cashier standards of operations, reporting and maintenance
  • Follows the systems that are utilized to maintained compliance with all regulatory agency requirements
  • Operates all equipment according to the standard operating procedure for safety and efficiency
  • Serves as a contact at the assigned school for issues that may arise. Reports all issues to the Head Cook within a timely manner
  • Helps prepare a monthly inventory when needed under the supervision of the Head Cook
  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork as required
  • Helps to ensure the safe and accurate receiving, storage, rotation, and disposition of all food and supplies
  • Work as cashier on a regular basis, or when needed

We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, this position works 4 hours per day, 188 days per contracted year.
Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 2:00pm or as assigned

Starting salary is $18.18 per hour.
***Position is for the 25/26 school year starting in August***
?***$1,500 bonus awarded in November***
