Job Overview

Under the supervision of a Department of Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor or Manager, the Cook Helper complete tasks as outlined in the job flow for daily position assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Knowledge of food production, service and sanitation required
  • Prior cooking experience in a healthcare facility required
  • Position may require to work every other weekend depending on department s needs

Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary Degree or Certification. Serv Safe Certified
  • Prior experience in food service preferred
  • Knowledge of food production, service and sanitation required

Scheduling Requirements

  • Shift: Evening
  • Status: Per Diem
  • Hours: Flexible (Based on the needs of the department

Essential Functions

  • Complete tasks as outlined in the job flow for daily position assigned
  • Retrieve, prep and prepare items according to the daily production sheets and recipes
  • Follow all HACCP guidelines for food and physical safety.
