Job summary

Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI, is seeking a kitchen professional to work on-site in our hospital food service. You will produce hot and cold meals for patients, staff and visitors, following standardized recipes to ensure safety, quality and portion control.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitation standards, collaborating with hot and cold production areas, and adapting to therapeutic diet requirements. Prior culinary training is preferred; ServSafe is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum food service cooking experience or equivalent with Culinary Degree.
• Line cook experience with hot food preparation preferred.

Job Summary:

Performs all duties related to the production of hot and cold food items for hospital patients, staff and visitors, special functions, and baking. Monitor the quality of items produced, closely working with hot and cold food production to deliver the highest standards of product to our customers daily. Follows standardized recipes and production sheets, and assures that food is produced in accordance to established sanitation and food safety standards. Maintains quality standards in cooking methods, procedures and therapeutic restrictions for all diets, presentation and portion control.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of 1 year of food service cooking experience or any combination of years in food service experience with a Culinary Degree.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Line cook experience with hot food preparation is preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIRED: None.

EDUCATION PREFERRED: Culinary Arts degree preferred.

TRAINING REQUIRED: None.

TRAINING PREFERRED: None.

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation. Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets are required. Basic computer, problem-solving and good communication skills are required.
