Description:
Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our Food and Nutrition team!

Summary:

The main focus of the Line Cook is to prepare and serve meals in accordance with departmental standards. Complete daily responsibilities as assigned for each position, which may include hot and cold food production, cleaning and sanitization, receiving and storage, or other duties related to food production.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleans and sanitizes all food equipment, contact surfaces, and delivery carts.
  • Makes deliveries to proper locations at patient mealtimes, including transferring meals to patients.
  • Verifies patient’s name and menu when serving a meal.
  • Prepares food according to daily menu and production sheets, including salads, sandwiches, and desserts.
  • Assists in dishwashing, following proper ware washing procedures.
  • Adheres to food safety regulations by wearing clean uniforms, gloves, and hairnets while working with food and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of cook experience in healthcare or hospitality
