Carolina Reserve of Laurel Park in Hendersonville, North Carolina, is seeking cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals. Our cooks are responsible for delivering top-notch food service in a high-quality, cutting-edge Assisted Living Community. The successful candidates will employ their culinary and managerial skills to maintain and enhance our residents' satisfaction.

Requirements

• Maintain a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or participate in sanitation training to become certified
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred
• One (1) year of job-related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets
• Must be 16 years or older; in NC, 18+ if operating power-driven machines
• Three years' experience in healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work safely around residents and promote a team environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare palatable foods that are visually appealing

• Learn and perform basic tasks following instructions
