  • We are hiring immediately for full time and part time COOK positions.
  • Location: Ochsner Medical Center - 17000 Medical Center Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. Days and hours may vary, including evening shifts and rotating weekends. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: No experience required.
  • Pay Range: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions.
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring proper portioning, temperature, and presentation.
  • Use established procedures during service and maintain records.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Assist in production planning, ordering, and reporting.
  • Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  • Attend safety and in-service meetings.
  • Maintain good working relationships and a safe work environment.
  • Follow all food safety standards, including HACCP.
