Unidine is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time COOK positions.

  • Location: Brooke Grove Retirement Village - 18100 Slade School Road, Sandy Spring, MD 20860
  • Schedule: Full and part-time. Days and hours may vary. Must be able to work every other weekend. No late nights. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Previous cooking experience required. Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Perks: Free parking! Free shift meals!
  • Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.00

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation.
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records.
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  • Attends safety meetings and maintains good working relationships.
  • Performs job safely and abides by all policies and procedures, including safety standards like HACCP.
