Schedule: Monday through Friday, varying hours; rotating weekends included. Pay: $15.00–$16.00 per hour.
Job Summary
Prepares food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring high‑quality service at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare high‑quality food items per standardized recipes to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery with correct portioning, temperature, and presentation.
- Use established ticket‑collection procedures during service; maintain records of area worked.
- Clean kitchen after preparation and service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food‑handling procedures.
- Maintain refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; store items per standards.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
- Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
- Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies.
- Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor immediately.
- Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
- Perform job safely, maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
- Commit to personal safety and that of others.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures, including:
- Use of medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning slicers.
- Use of oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steamtables.
- Use of slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
Qualifications
- No previous experience required.
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Required to pass Florida Level 2 background screening (if applicable).
