• We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time COOK positions.
• Location: Miami Valley Hospital South - 2400 Miami Valley Drive, Dayton, OH 45459. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules. Days may vary, 5:30 pm to 2:00 am, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm; more details upon interview.
• Requirements: Four years of previous cook experience and ServSafe certification are preferred but not required. Willing to train!
• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions to meet production and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, attractiveness, and taste. Tastes all prepared food items.
• Uses established procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness standards, and handles excess food safely.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
• Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
• Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
• Performs job safely, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards.
• Prioritizes safety for yourself and others.
• Follows all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols when handling equipment.
