Morrison Living is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time COOK positions.

Location

The Terrace - 1408 Business 70 West, Columbia, MO 65202. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule

Full-time and part-time schedules. Days may vary, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm; more details upon interview.

Requirements

Previous breakfast cook experience is preferred but not required.

Pay Range

$15.00 per hour to $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
2. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food items.
3. Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked.
4. Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness standards, and handles excess food safely.
5. Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized, stores food and supplies per standards.
6. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
7. Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
8. Helps in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
9. Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately.
10. Attends in-service and safety meetings.
11. Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and management.
12. Performs job safely, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
14. Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
15. Commits to personal and team safety.
16. Adheres to all company policies, including safety protocols for handling knives, hot pans, and using proper footwear and lifting techniques.
