We are hiring immediately for a full-time COOK position.

Location: Union Pacific - 1400 Douglas Street, Omaha, NE 68179. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 6:15 am to 2:15 pm. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior deli, sandwich, or grill cook experience preferred.

Job Summary

Prepares food according to federal, state, and corporate standards with established policies, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepare high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
2. Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, appearance, and taste. Taste all food items.
3. Use ticket collection procedures during service; maintain records from your area.
4. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas; follow safe food handling procedures.
5. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
6. Assist in production planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
7. Report maintenance needs or faulty equipment immediately.
8. Attend safety and in-service meetings.
9. Maintain good relationships with coworkers and clients.
10. Follow HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and temperatures.
11. Follow all safety policies, including proper glove and glove use when handling equipment or hot items.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
