Job description

We are hiring immediately for full-time COOK positions.

Location: Bio Merieux Hazelwood - 595 Anglum Road, Hazelwood, MO 63042. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, hours may vary; more details upon interview.

Requirement: Two years of professional cooking experience preferred but not required.
*Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available

Pay Range: $14.00 to $22.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Prepare food according to federal, state, and corporate standards, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality food items following recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Taste all prepared food.
  • Use established ticket procedures during service and maintain records.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, store or discard excess food per safety procedures.
  • Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Assist in planning, record keeping, and ordering supplies.
  • Report maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
  • Attend safety and in-service meetings.
  • Maintain good relationships with coworkers and clients.
  • Follow safety protocols and company policies, including proper use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring proper food presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance following HACCP standards.
