We are hiring immediately for a full-time COOK position.

Location: LL Bean OFC Summit - 5 Campus Drive, Freeport, ME 04033. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time shifts, Sunday through Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (Off Wednesday + Saturday). More details upon interview.

Requirement: 1-2 years of prior cooking experience preferred.

Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food according to applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality food service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes and instructions to meet schedules.
2. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food.
3. Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records.
4. Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards.
5. Stores or discards excess food safely.
6. Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
7. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
8. Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
9. Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies.
10. Reports maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
11. Attends in-service and safety meetings.
12. Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers.
13. Performs job safely, maintaining a clean, safe environment.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
15. Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
16. Prioritizes safety for oneself and others.
17. Follows all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols with gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
