Job summary

Westminster Gardens in Duarte, CA, part of HumanGood, is seeking a full-time cook to prepare meals that meet high quality and quantity standards for residents. You will handle food in accordance with sanitary and safety standards and support meal service during scheduled shifts.

Shifts are Friday through Tuesday mornings, with options 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 10:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary, food service, or restaurant experience.
• Food Handler’s certification.
• ServSafe certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals that meet quality and quantity standards for residents.
• Maintain sanitary standards during all food preparation.
• Assist with timely service during Friday–Tuesday shifts.

Description

Westminster Gardens in Duarte, CA, one of several HumanGood communities recognized as a Best CCRC-2026 by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking a full-time cook. The Cook’s primary objective is to prepare food to ensure a high standard of quality and quantity to meet the residents' needs. You would handle food in accordance with sanitary standards and recognized food preparation standards.

Shift: Friday through Tuesday morning, with schedules from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (alternating between AM and PM shifts).

Compensation: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• Prior culinary, food service, or restaurant experience
• Food Handler’s certification
• ServSafe certification (preferred)
