Overview

We are hiring immediately for full‑time Cook positions at Baptist Memorial Hospital, 1500 West Poplar Avenue, Collierville, TN 38017. The schedule is full time, Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and applications are accepted online only.

Pay range: $15.00–$19.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and visually appealing. Conducts taste‑testing of prepared food items.
• Uses established ticket‑collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records of work performed.
• Clears and cleans the kitchen after use, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food‑safety compliance.
• Maintains refrigerators, storerooms, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional state.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record‑keeping, and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving all food and supplies.
• Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in‑service training and safety meetings.
• Builds and maintains positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to safety for self and others.
• Abides by all company policies and procedures, including safety and food‑handling protocols.
