Job Title: Cook (Full‑Time & Part‑Time)

Job Summary
Prepare food in accordance with federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring high‑quality food service at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste all prepared food items.
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records for the area worked during service periods.
- Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards; store or discard excess food per safe food‑handling procedures.
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensure food and supply items are stored per standards.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
- Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
- Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies as needed.
- Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Attend in‑service and safety meetings.
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
- Perform the job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
- Commit personally to your own safety and that of others.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
- Use of medium‑weight cut gloves when handling knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins, or cleaning a slicer.
- Use of oven mitts, fryer gloves, or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers, or steam tables.
- Use of slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
Requirements
- Prior cooking experience required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
