Job summary

An independently owned restaurant is looking for a Cook to create delicious dishes, follow brand standards, and ensure a clean kitchen environment. We offer full time and part time positions with competitive wages starting at $13.00 up to $17.50 depending upon experience. Night shift has differential pay.

Responsibilities

As a Cook, you do more than follow a recipe. The food you create can be a mood‑changer and a day‑changer, igniting our guests’ taste buds to lift their spirits. Responsibilities include:

• Prepares food to set recipes following brand standards
• Honors guests’ requests for special orders
• Cleans and completes side work, and organizes supplies as required

Work Experience

Essential skills:

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Collaborate with Management to prepare meals during dining hours.
• Maintain accurate food inventories.
• Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Rotate stock items as per established procedures.
• Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts.
• Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of shift.

Cook Qualifications And Skills

• At least 1-year experience as a Cook in a family style restaurant industry
• Able to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures
• Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler Certification preferred but not required.
