Job summary

Granite Recovery Center is seeking a Full-Time Relief Cook – Resident Facility to prepare daily meals according to the menu while maintaining sanitary kitchen conditions and ensuring timely, high-quality service for residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior kitchen/restaurant experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification a plus.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• Health, food and sanitation knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with little to no assistance.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors temperatures of hot and cold foods according to food safety standards and documents results.
• Completes forms such as food temperature logs, sanitizer concentration logs and food waste logs.
• Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in accordance with menu, recipes, allergies and dietary restrictions.
• Cleans storage, food preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Wash and dry dishes, take out trash and stock items in serving areas as needed.
• Performs routine deep clean of kitchen area including sweeping/mopping and equipment cleaning.
• Assists in ensuring a high level of health and safety and food preparation practices.
• Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts appropriately.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Full-Time Relief Cook – Resident Facility

Granite Recovery Center is looking for a hardworking and dedicated Cook that is passionate about delivering the best possible dining experience for our guests and associates.

The Cook prepares delicious meals according to the menu. They follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals in an efficient and timely manner to ensure an excellent guest experience. They are knowledgeable in various ingredients and cooking techniques and are kept up to date on industry trends.

Role and Responsibilities

• Consistently monitors the temperatures of hot and cold foods according to food safety standards and documents results.
• Completes appropriate forms such as food temperature logs, sanitizer concentration logs and food waste logs.
• Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in accordance with menu, recipes, allergies and dietary restrictions of individuals.
• Cleans storage, food preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Wash and dry dishes, take out trashes and broken-down boxes, clean dining area and stock items in serving areas as needed.
• Performs routine deep clean of kitchen area including sweeping/mopping kitchen floor, cleaning inside and out of reach-ins, cleaning steam table, fryolator, etc.
• Assists in guaranteeing a high level of health and safety, cleanliness and food preparation that ensures safe working practices are followed.
• Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them in an appropriate manner.
• Any other related tasks that are assigned.
