Qualifications:

2. U.S. Citizen or proof of ability to work in U.S.

7. Have the ability to follow standardized recipes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is under the direct supervision of the Administrator. This individual will be expected to follow standardized recipes. Responsible for maintaining a proper and accurate inventory. Responsible for keeping kitchen equipment clean at all times. Must make sure that any special diets are followed. Must report to the Administrator any significant changes in a resident’s eating habits. Must ensure that all leftover foods are stored in proper containers, labeled and dated. Must ensure that refrigerators and freezers are operating at the correct temperatures and are equipped with thermometers. Must follow measurements accurately.

Daily Tasks:

1. Prepare breakfast.
2. Check cleanliness of all equipment.
3. Check menu for the upcoming meals and report to the Administrator any substitutions that might have been made.
4. Prepare and serve the lunch meals.
5. Prepare and serve evening dinner meals.

Weekly Tasks:

1. Check all equipment to make sure it is in proper working order.
2. Check menus for the following week and prepare food purchase list.
3. File menus and recipes from the prior week in proper place and order.
