Job summary

UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center in Estes Park, CO, is seeking a PRN Cook to prepare meals for patients, the cafeteria, and catering services.

The role follows standardized recipes, coordinates with supervisors to time cooking, and handles modified diets and leftovers. Applicants should have at least one year of cook experience, with preference for scratch cooking and healthcare food service experience. This is an onsite position with no remote option.

Pay:$18.54 - $24.10 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary

Cooks and prepares food for distribution to patients, the cafeteria, and catering services.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED, or in lieu of HS/GED, satisfactory completion of UCHealth-administered basic competency test is required. Exception - neither HS/GED nor competency testing are required for positions at Yampa Valley Medical Center (YVMC).
• Minimum Experience required is one year of cook experience.
• Preferred: Experience with scratch cooking, healthcare food service, hotel, catering, institutional, or high-volume restaurant cooking experience.
