Job Summary

Summary: Assists in preparing and cooking various food items, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Learn to read menus, estimate food requirements, and procure ingredients.
• Prepare and cook food following recipes and standards.
• Adjust kitchen equipment for proper cooking temperatures.
• Measure, mix, and cook ingredients as instructed.
• Cook meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods; add seasonings.
• Test food for quality; portion and garnish dishes.
• Prepare fruits and vegetables; butcher meats as directed.
• Bake bread, pastries, and other baked goods as permitted.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area.
• Interact courteously with customers and coworkers.
• Ensure compliance with service standards and inventory control.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
