Job summary

Northwood Hospitality LLC is seeking a Cook to join the Culinary Department at our Ballantyne property. You will prepare a range of dishes, follow recipes, and uphold food safety standards to deliver guest satisfaction.

You will work with a team, manage time efficiently, and support catering and events as needed. Prior kitchen experience preferred; food handler certification required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or hotel kitchen preferred.
• Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and ingredients.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to recipes and standards.
• Ensure that all food is of the highest quality and meets our strict standards.
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.
• Assist with special events and catering as needed.

Job Overview:
