Job summary

Elior’s Trio-Community-Meals in Olathe, KS is hiring an experienced cook/driver to join a fast-paced kitchen and distribution team. You will cook meals to recipe standards and transport goods to multiple destinations each day, ensuring safety and quality at every step.

Ideal candidates have at least a year in high-volume cooking, hold a valid commercial driver’s license or DOT medical card, and demonstrate reliable customer service with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Ability to use a variety of kitchen equipment and tools, and identify food items.
• High-level product knowledge and friendly customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• At least one year of experience in a high-volume establishment with cooking from scratch.
• Valid state driver’s license for commercial vehicles and/or a DOT medical card.
• Acceptable driving record and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform food preparation and production tasks following recipes and safety policies.
• Ensure proper portion control, temperature control, and storage of leftovers.
• Load and transport food products according to schedule.
• Transport materials safely, complying with DOT rules and traffic laws.

The Role at a glance

We are looking to add an experienced cook/driver to work with a highly motivated and energetic kitchen staff in our Olathe, KS location for our Trio-Community-Meals division. As a cook/driver for Trio-Community-Meals, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, efficient environment, cook delicious meals, and transport a variety of goods to various locations each day. What you'll be doing

• Performing food preparation and production tasks while following recipes and safe food handling policies and procedures.
• Ensuring proper portion and temperature control and proper storage of leftover food.
• Loading and transporting food products from one location to another according to an assigned schedule.
• Transporting materials to and from assigned destinations in a safe and effective manner, complying with all DOT rules and regulations alongside state and city traffic laws.
• Complete thorough inspections of any utilized company equipment, before and after each trip.
• Keeping open communication with dispatch to ensure notification of any issues or delays on the route.

What we're looking for

Compensation Range

20.00 - 22.00 /hour
