Job summary

Elior School Dining is seeking an experienced cook and driver for the TMSA Charlotte K-5 Campus #2. You will prepare food to meet recipes, then transport meals to multiple locations as scheduled.

The role emphasizes high-volume cooking from scratch, adherence to safety standards, and reliable, customer-focused service for students and staff at our school dining program.

Qualifications

• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Ability to use a variety of kitchen equipment and tools and to differentiate food items.
• High-level product knowledge with friendly, helpful customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A valid state driver’s license for the vehicle used for transport.
• At least one year’s experience in a high-volume establishment with cooking from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper portion and temperature control and proper storage of leftovers.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced cook and driver to our Elior School Dining team. As a cook and driver, you will have the opportunity to prepare delicious food and transport it to a variety of locations as needed.

What you'll be doing:

• Performing food preparation and production tasks while following recipes and safe food handling policies and procedures.
• Ensuring proper portion and temperature control and proper storage of leftover food.
• Loading and transporting food products from one location to another according to an assigned schedule.

What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

• Complete knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
• Ability to use a variety of kitchen equipment and tools, as well as to identify and differentiate food items.
• High-level product knowledge and the ability to provide friendly and helpful customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A valid state driver’s license for the vehicle used for transport.
• At least one years’ experience in a high volume establishment with an emphasis on cooking from scratch.

Nice-to-haves:
