Support the operation to deliver Superior Guest Service by performing duties, including cooking and plating food products in accordance with production requirements and quality standards. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cooks, plates, and follows portion standards for food products according to production requirements.
  • Organizes and plans activities by reviewing daily pull and prep lists.
  • Cooks and stores food at required temperatures; labels, dates, and rotates all products per company standards.
  • Prepares items from scratch using the required recipes.
  • Tests foods for proper cooking standards using tasting, smelling, measuring devices, or other utensils.
  • Monitors and maintains proper cooking temperatures on equipment like grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, and roasters.
  • Maintains cleanliness of food preparation areas and equipment after use or as required.
  • Follows safe food handling and hygiene practices.
  • Adheres to safety standards for operating equipment and reports malfunctions immediately.
  • Performs opening and/or closing side work as per checklists.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills & Abilities
  • Basic food preparation and cooking skills; ability to properly use various utensils and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively in English.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Reasoning ability to follow instructions in various formats.
  • Physical ability to stand for 6-8 hours, use hands for maneuvering objects, reach, bend, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
