Position: Cook

Reports To: Executive Sous Chef, Executive Chef, Food & Beverage Director

Position Profile: Prepare culinary delights for guests and hotel clientele, ensuring high-quality food presentation and overall dining experience. Responsible for daily food prep in various kitchen stations, maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare food of consistent quality per recipes and standards.
  • Manage food prep timing to meet demand without excess.
  • Handle multiple kitchen stations including broiler, sauté, fry, pantry, and expediter.
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and dating of food items.
  • Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification preferred.
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in food/beverage service.
  • Knowledge of commercial cooking equipment and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English; physical ability to lift 20-40 lbs and stand for long periods.
