Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a kitchen/dining services member to support meal preparation and service at our Mount Juliet facility. You will help ensure safe, sanitary, and accurate food preparation, while maintaining a clean dining area and following seasonal menus.

This role requires prior dining services experience, Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain it within 60 days, and the ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or be willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, and make simple calculations.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times, including floors.
• Participate in weekly cleaning routines planned by Dining Services Director.
• Report faulty equipment and damaged items to supervisor and remove them from service.
• Ensure proper refrigeration temperatures are recorded twice daily.
• Observe good safety practices and minimize food waste.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director.
• Assist in training new dietary employees.
• Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
