Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and coordinate with Dining Services Team Members to monitor food production and ensure timely, efficient service.
  • Prepare meals by following established recipes and procedures, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Accurately estimate and prepare the right quantity of food to meet guest demand.
  • Be knowledgeable about dietary needs and respond to guest inquiries with professionalism.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines, sanitation practices, and cleanliness guidelines.
  • Follow safety procedures with chemicals, kitchen items, and operating equipment, wearing PPE as required.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas to enhance workflow and access to supplies.
  • Work closely with Dining Services Team to deliver high-quality meals for guests.
  • Identify and report maintenance needs for Dining Services equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Effectively communicate with dining staff, colleagues, and supervisors regarding incidents or issues.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support Dining Services operations.

Position Overview: Green Lake Conference Center (GLCC) is seeking full-time and part-time Cooks to join as a Dining Services Team Member. This role is responsible for all aspects of hot and cold food preparation, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring adherence to sanitation and food safety guidelines, while ensuring an excellent dining experience for guests. Pay ranging from $17-$22 hour per hour.Key Responsibilities:Meal Service: Plan, prepare, and coordinate with the Dining Services Team Members to monitor food production and ensure timely, efficient service in all areas.Food Production: Prepare meals by following established recipes and procedures, ensuring food quality and consistency. Accurately estimate and prepare the right quantity of food to meet guest demand.Guest Engagement: Be knowledgeable about dietary needs and respond to guest inquiries with professionalism and enthusiasm.Food Safety, Sanitation, & Cleanliness: Follow all food safety guidelines, sanitation practices, and cleanliness guidelines to ensure a safe kitchen and dining environment.Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures when handling chemicals, kitchen items, and operating equipment, ensuring a safe environment for employees, yourself, and guests. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).Work Area Organization: Maintain clean, orderly, and well-organized areas to enhance workflow efficiency and ensure easy access to supplies. Keep the kitchen areas clean and organized.Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Dining Team to monitor food production and ensure an efficient flow of service.
