Gemma Services in Plymouth Meeting, PA, is seeking a Food Service Cook for the school nutrition program. The role requires high-volume meal preparation, strict safety standards, and USDA meal pattern compliance.
Hours are Monday through Friday, with shifts from 6:30 am–3:00 pm or 9:30 am–6:00 pm. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma, food safety certifications, and experience serving nutritious meals to students.

The Food Service Cook prepares and cooks food for the school nutrition program, serving large quantities of meals daily while maintaining strict food safety, sanitation, and USDA meal pattern standards. This position requires experience in high-volume food preparation, knowledge of institutional food service operations, and a commitment to serving nutritious meals to students.
Must have valid drivers license
Hours: Monday through Friday. Shift varies between 6:30am to 3:00pm or 9:30am to 6:00pm
Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent; specialized training related to food preparation. Current Food Handler Certification, ServSafe Certification, or equivalent food safety certification from an accredited provider
Skill(s): Experience in school nutrition or institutional food service. Knowledge of USDA meal pattern standards and reimbursable meal requirements. Experience with large-quantity cooking and batch preparation. Knowledge of food allergies and safe food handling practices. Experience with point-of-service meal tracking and production documentation. Experience developing or modifying menus for high-volume production. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
Experience: Minimum 2 years of documented food preparation experience in a high-volume operation(institutional cafeteria, school kitchen, hospital, military facility, hotel/restaurant kitchen, or similar environment)
