Job description

Description:

• Prepares and cooks meals for patients, employees, and visitors using established recipes, formulas, and menu cycles.
• Confers with Nutritional Services Manager or Dietitian regarding food needs, modified diets, menu changes, etc.
• Operates commercial and large-scale cooking equipment and appliances.

Requirements

Educational/Experience:

• Institutional cooking/food preparation experience helpful.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal directions as given.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and give close attention to detail.
• Modified Dietary Certification, or achievement of same within 90 days of employment.
• Mandatory Abuse Reporter Certification within 6 months of employment.
• Dependable and responsible.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English well.
