Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Dietary Services, the cook will prepare, season, and cook food for hospital patients, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities include inventory control, cleaning the kitchen after meals, and adhering to infection control standards.

Responsibilities
Clinical / Technical Skills (40%)
- Determine types and quantities of ingredients based on menus.
- Order supplies and ensure meals are prepared on time.
- Prepare dishes per recipes, including sauces, soups, and desserts.
- Cook meats and other items using various methods.
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Assist in serving patients and support patient safety and care.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; CPR and de-escalation certification; ServSafe certification within 3 months.
- Preferred: Some college courses.
Experience
- Required: 3 years in a food service or restaurant setting.
- Preferred: 1 year in a hospital dietary department or behavioral health setting.
