Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Iowa is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to join the kitchen team. You will assist cooks, prepare and deliver patient meals including therapeutic diets, and ensure sanitation throughout the department.

The role requires a High School diploma and about 1 year of food service experience, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent certificate required.
• 1 year experience in food service preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform detailed assignments, follow directions, work under pressure, and adapt to changes.

Responsibilities

• Works as a team member with one or more cooks in daily operations of the department.
• Responsible for preparation and delivery of all meals to patients including regular and therapeutic diets.
• Responsible for general departmental sanitation.
• Prepare entrees, soups, hot foods and all baked goods for all service points.

About The Job:

Works as a team member with one or more cooks in the daily operations of the department for patient and employee food service.
Responsible for preparation and delivery of all meals to patients including regular and therapeutic diets.
Responsible for general departmental sanitation.
Responsible for preparation of all entrees, soups, hot food, and all baked goods for all service points including patients, staff, physicians, visitors and catering.

What we are looking for:

Experience:

• 1 years' experience in food service preferred.
