At Cutwater Spirits in San Diego, CA, is seeking a part-time kitchen member to prepare and cook meats, seafood, poultry and vegetables, following recipes and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry and vegetables using kitchen equipment.
• Know and comply with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to maintain effective product flow.
• Handle, store, and rotate all products properly.
• Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
• Opens and closes the kitchen stations properly, follows checklists.
• Follow proper hygiene and food safety measures.
• Embrace and fulfill the core values and culture of Cutwater Spirits.

Role Summary

SALARY: $23.00/hr SCHEDULE: Part-Time, 3 days of availability (including nights and weekends) required WORK LOCATION: San Diego, CA (Miramar) COMPANY: At Cutwater Spirits, we are explorers, charting the course with adventure in mind. Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meats, seafood, poultry and vegetables using a variety of kitchen equipment and techniques.
• Know and comply consistently with portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service for our guests.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to maintain effective product flow.

• Working knowledge of food and beverage industry – back of house operations.
• Ability to manage responsibilities in a high-demand, fast-paced working environment.
• Ability to operate all equipment in the kitchen.
• Understanding of food properties and cooking methods.
• Able to follow detailed recipes and verbal instructions.
• Ability to maintain a Food Handler’s certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years prior restaurant kitchen experience (preferred).
