Job summary

Servingschools in Rockland is seeking a Cook for our preschool program. You will plan and prepare daily meals, follow CACFP guidelines, and help craft homestyle menus that encourage children to explore nutritious foods.

This full-time role (Mon–Fri, 7:15–2:00) emphasizes creativity in a child-friendly setting. Training is available; background checks are required to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Be neat, clean and organized.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions.
• Background check requirements per Penquis contract provisions.

Are you looking to join a fun energetic team? We are hiring a Cook at our Rockland preschool program.

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 7:15-2:00 year-round.

Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks daily.
• Weekly grocery shopping and inventory management.
• Completing menu planning and production reports.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area daily.

Cook Requirements

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Be neat, clean and organized.

• Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.

The payrange for the Cook is $17.55-$22.82.
