Job summary

Guthrie is seeking a food service cook to maintain quality and quantity of meals for patients and cafeteria customers. The role requires preparing items per production sheets, following standardized recipes for patient trays and the cafeteria, and assisting with salads and hot/cold foods.

The candidate should have experience cooking for large numbers in a healthcare setting and must obtain ServSafe certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares varied food items as determined by production sheets and department needs.
• Prepares specified food items using standardized recipes for patient tray service, cafeteria and snack bar according to production sheets.
• Assist in preparation of salads, cold plates, short orders and all hot and cold food for patient trays and the cafeteria snack bar.
• Dates and stores leftover food as required by the department procedures.
• Performs procedures for cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment and maintains a clean and neat work area.
• Takes initiative in completing work that needs to be done within area of responsibility.

Education, License & Cert
