* Wage: Up to $18.00, based on experience

Position Summary:

Responsible for preparing food items for all dining room orders and events, following local health standards, Suburban Inns’ Core Values, and IHG standards (available online at IHGmerlin.com), ensuring guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

  • Report to work in a neat, professional uniform
  • Greet guests warmly, ask questions, and make personal connections
  • Anticipate and meet guest needs, exceeding expectations
  • Prepare items according to recipes/make sheets
  • Set up service units with necessary items
  • Serve items according to portions and presentation standards
  • Notify supervisor of shortages
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Assist in maintaining kitchen safety and security
  • Set up, maintain, and break down prep stations
  • Requisition needed ingredients
  • Follow health and safety regulations
  • Maintain required logs
  • Store leftovers properly with date and labeling
  • Uphold high sanitary standards
  • Maintain consistent attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Uniform and Appearance:

Uniform: Provided shirt and name tag. Black slacks and non-slip shoes are the team member's responsibility.

Appearance: Earrings are allowed in the ears only or must be covered. Hair must be natural in color and well-groomed. Policies are administered without discrimination. The Director of Operations has the authority to veto decisions.
