Position Summary:
As a Cook at Steel District Hospitality, you will be an integral part of the kitchen team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards. This role requires precision, speed, and a commitment to maintaining consistency in every dish. You’ll be working alongside a talented group of culinary professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items with attention to quality and consistency
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines as directed by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • Ensure that food preparation meets safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Assist with the setup and organization of workstations before and during service
  • Participate in daily food prep and ensure all items are prepped and ready for service
  • Manage stock levels, conduct inventory, and assist in the ordering of supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and efficient workspace
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food storage and handling

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Cook or Line Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks during busy service hours
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus, but not required
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
