Skywalker is seeking cooks with high-end banquet experience to join our culinary team for multiple event positions within our hospitality offerings. The culinary team is responsible for the overall success of daily kitchen operations through assistance and support to the management team. Candidates should be able to apply previous culinary experiences and follow directives precisely to ensure consistent, high-quality products. The role requires working well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, being flexible to adapt quickly to operational needs, and continually improving guest and employee experiences through personal and professional contributions. Ensuring sanitation and food safety standards are maintained is essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Efficiently set up and break down assigned work stations as directed.
  2. Multitask and prioritize prep lists based on business needs.
  3. Operate industrial ovens, stoves, grills, steamers, mixers, slicers, and fryers.
  4. Prepare ingredients precisely, including portioning, chopping, weighing, and mixing.
  5. Prepare a variety of hot and cold foods using various techniques or as directed.
  6. Test foods to ensure proper cooking.
  7. Prepare special meals or substitutions as directed.
  8. Serve foods in proper portions and ware as directed.
Requirements
  1. Adhere strictly to food quality and safety standards.
  2. Experience in fine dining and high-end banquets.
  3. Proper labeling, dating, and rotation of food items.
  4. Maintain cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas and tools.
  5. Follow safety, security, and company policies; report issues promptly.
  6. Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality.
  7. Interact professionally with guests and address concerns or escalate as needed.
  8. Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
  9. Communicate clearly and professionally.
  10. Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  11. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  12. Perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, twisting, and pulling.
  13. Willingness to perform additional tasks for operational success.
