We are looking for a Cook to join our team at Putnam Farm. As a Benchmark cook, your main role will be to make a difference in the lives of our residents by providing delicious and healthy meals. You will prepare food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, following Benchmark policies and procedures. The Food Services Director will oversee these duties to ensure quality food service at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all dietary procedures are followed.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including meat slicers, food processors, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwashers, dumb waiters, and warmer cabinets.
  • Assist in establishing food production lines to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Represent the community positively when interacting with potential residents and families.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality, and flavorful meals for residents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary Arts training preferred.
  • At least 2 years of dietary experience.
  • Knowledge of dietary procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to food service operations.
  • Leadership skills and ability to supervise staff harmoniously.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • This position is primarily standing; extended periods of standing may be required.
